By Breaking Belize News Staff: Mainly fair weather and warm temperatures prevail according to the National Meteorological Service. Skies are forecast to be mostly sunny today and partly cloudy tonight with isolated showers if any; there is a slight chance of thunderstorms developing inland this afternoon and over the north later tonight.
High temperatures today peak at 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 98 degrees over inland areas and 84 degrees in the hills, while tonight temperatures will be 81 degrees along the coast, 73 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills. A heat alert continues in effect: residents of inland areas are advised to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activity as much as possible and especially in the afternoon.
Winds are easterly to southeasterly at five to ten knots and sea conditions slight.
Tides will be low at 11:12 this morning and 11:42 tonight and high at 4:40 this afternoon. The sun sets at 6:22 this evening and rises at 5:17 Monday morning.
Monday sees continuing fair weather and warm conditions with isolated showers or thunderstorms developing over inland areas during the afternoon.
