The race ran for 100 kilimeters (62.5 miles) on a circuit between Bacalar and Chetumal finishing on Bahía Boulevard.
Li was second behind America Sean Strachan of team Voler/Premier Racing USA and captured sixth place overall. Wasani Castro was 27th in the general classification. Mexican Jose Zarate who ran for Rolling Shattaz was 26th overall.
Angel Esquivel of Team Arenas Tlaxcala México won the Quintana Roo Tour that featured more than 100 cyclists.
“Woahzers! 2nd place in the last stage,” said Li, who rides for the Rolling Shattaz-BZ Boyz, in a social media post.
“Today was the last chance that I had to step on the podium after the US and Mexican teams dominated this tour. I enjoy being on the podium but love the people that we get to meet while riding a bike. Shout out to Wasani and Leroy for all their help! Thanks to all the organizers for the Vuelta!
