Man allegedly stole several appliances including washing machine and refrigerator, charged for burglary

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City man is out on bail after being charged with stealing several appliances from a woman’s home.

Kadel Shemar Mckenzie was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today on a single charge of burglary.

Allegations against him are that on May 19, he stole a refrigerator, a washing machine, a fan, and other items to a total of $1,235.

Mckenzie pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of $4,000 plus two sureties of $2,000 each.

He is due back in court on July 28.

In court, the alleged victim explained that she was previously his tenant, but they no longer live on the same premises.
