Verdes ready for CONCACAF Central American Cup draw on June 8

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Verdes is now awaiting the CONCACAF draw for the inaugural Central American Cup draw in Miami. The draw will be held Thursday, June 8, at 7:00 pm Eastern (5:00 pm Bze Time) at the MediaPro Studios in Miami, Florida.

CONCACAF has changed the format for the CONCACAF Champions League and has instituted the Central American Cup which kicks off in July 2023 to qualify six Central American clubs: the four quarterfinal winners and the winners from two play-in rounds.

Costa Rica and Honduras have four clubs each in the Central American Cup along with three each from Guatemala, El Salvador, and Panama; two from Nicaragua; and one from Belize.
