Go Fund Me launched to bring Hiram home for a proper goodbye

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: A Go Fund Me page has been launched by Lucellie Vasquez to assist the Tillett family in expenses to transport Hiram’s body home for funeral services.

“Everyone who has had the privilege of meeting Hiram Tillett can attest to the fact that he was the embodiment of what it means to show love, he had the biggest, most generous heart. Hiram lived and grew up in San Ignacio with his loving parents, little sister, and his daughter. He has been a large contribution to the community both in spirit and through his actions,” the Go Fund Me page said.

Hiram had moved to Waukegan, Illinois where he was striving for greatness demonstrating his talent as a barber.

He had “God Blessed Hands” – as he would say, a jack of all trades.

Earlier this week, Hiram was involved in a road traffic accident and was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

His family arrived to be with him hoping he would recover but sadly, he passed away today.

“We ask that you please pray for his family and give them the strength that they need to endure these difficult times,” the page added.

“We want to honor Hiram and give him the send-away he deserves. We are seeking your assistance, the community, Hiram’s community. Help us bring him home and give him a proper goodbye,” it expressed.

The San Ignacio/Santa Elena community has flooded social media with memories of Hiram and expressing their deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
