International News: Mexican Police find 45 bags with human body parts in Jalisco

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: During a search for missing people, police in Mexico came upon 45 bags with human remains in Jalisco, the Associated French Press reports.

“Forty-five bags with human remains have been extracted that belong to both male and female people,” the state prosecutor’s office informed.

On Tuesday, as police conducted searches for 8 missing people, they found the bags at the bottom of a 120-foot ravine.

Forensic experts are working to try and determine the number of victims and their identities if possible.

The Jalisco New Generation cartel operates in the state and is one of the most powerful, violent and organized crime groups.
