By Aaron Humes: One person has been detained after a report of an apparent burglary of the Exercise Quarter Master building of British Army Training Support Belize (BATSUB) in Ladyville.
According to BATSUB soldier Prakash Gauchan, the building had been broken into between 5 p.m. on Monday, May 29, and 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 30.
Among the items stolen were various utensils and military tools and equipment with a total value of $43,368.05. Entry was gained by opening the back wooden door that is located on the south side of the building.
Police investigations continue.
