Ahead of The Nature Conservancy meeting in Belize, Prime Minister hosts representatives in Belmopan

By Aaron Humes: Prime Minister John Briceño has detailed a meeting with representatives of The Nature Conservancy (TNC) “discussing our Blue Bond partnership, our commitments and progresses, challenges and mapping a way forward.”

He added, “The Nature Conservancy Team headed by the CEO Jennifer Morris and country representative Julie Robinson, my CEO Narda Garcia and Head of our Blue Bond Unit Beverly Wade and I held discussions as TNC Global Board prepares to meet this week in Placencia, southern Belize.”

The TNC is the lead partner in the agreement signed two years ago that converts the previous Super Bond debt into a more sustainable repayment package, tied into plans for long-term marine conservation projects.
