Woman stabbed after an argument with common-law-husband over text messages

By Aaron Humes: A domestic dispute erupted into violence at Sandhill, Belize District late Sunday night.

Police explain that the victim, who we will not name, was with her common-law husband at her residence when she apparently caught him sending text messages to another female. They began to argue and he took a knife and inflicted cut wounds to her left arm, and left hand, and a scrape to the left side of her neck.

She fled the house and drove to Sandhill Police Station where she received assistance and was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.

A police investigation is underway.
