By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Canadian officials confirmed that there are 414 wildfires in Canada, 239 of those are considered out of control.

Firefighters continue to battle wildfires as over 20,000 people remain evacuated from their homes and communities.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said hundreds of armed forces members have been deployed to provide additional support to firefighters and impacted communities.

The United States also provided 648 personnel to assist Canadian officials.

The U.S. has also sent equipment including water bombers.

Meanwhile, the U.S. has declared an air health warning due to the wildfire haze in 15 states.

Health officials in the U.S. are urging people in sensitive groups, such as children, the elderly or those with respiratory conditions, to limit their time outdoors or stay inside.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration also issued a ground stop at LaGuardia due to low visibility.
