By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts mostly sunny skies today and partly cloudy to clear skies tonight with isolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly over inland and northern areas in the afternoon and night.
High temperatures peak at 90 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 100 degrees in inland areas and 86 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 80 degrees along the coast, 74 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills. A heat alert is in effect for inland areas.
Winds begin light and variable, becoming easterly to southeasterly at five to 15 knots. Sea state will be slight.
Tides will be high at 12:51 this afternoon and low at 8:28 this evening. The sun sets at 6:26 this evening and rises at 5:17 Friday morning.
The hot weather continues on Friday with only isolated showers or thunderstorms.
