Orange Walk teams to play each other in 1st round of National Amateur Interdistrict Championship

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Orange Walk’s Opening Season Champions Caribbean Rum Boyz will face Orange Walk’s Closing Season Champions Sindbad in the opening week of the Football Federation of Belize’s (FFB) National Amateur Interdistrict Championship (NAIC). That was determined at the draw held on Thursday morning in Belmopan.

That could have been avoided very easily as Napoles from Belmopan and Sarteneja from Corozal were left to be drawn. But apparently, the NAIC Organizing Committee had not made any provisions for that not to happen in the first round.

No teams from the Benque Viejo del Carmen area are participating.

Though the NAIC is expected to start on June 17, the FFB has not yet said what the format is.

These are all the pairings. The first team plays at home first.

Club Atletico (Belmopan) vs 7 Miles (Cayo)

Griga Conquerors (Stann Creek) vs 501 Spartans midsouth

Cayo 2 (to be decided) vs Caesar Ridge (Belize)

SG Ballerz (Stann Creek) vs Lake I (Belize)

Terror Squad (San Pedro) vs Toledo 2 (to be decided)

Top Shottaz (Toledo) vs Bamba’s (Midsouth)

Calcutta Bulls (Corozal) vs Shark Shooters (San Pedro)

Caribbean Rum (Orange Walk) vs Sindbad (Orange Walk)

Napoles (Belmopan) vs Sarteneja (Corozal)
