By Rubén Morales Iglesias: After months of work, the San Narciso RC School students in San Narciso, Corozal District were able to reap the corn they planted and grew with the assistance of extension officers from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise (MAFSE).

“Over the past months Extension Officers from the Corozal Agriculture Department Mr. Carlos Martinez and Mr. Samuel Cocom have been providing technical assistance and training to the San Narciso Roman Catholic School on Good Agriculture Practices (GAP),” MAFSE said.

“The school garden was monitored and inspected on a weekly basis making sure that students are successfully applying the GAP Knowledge.

“As a result, students are now happily enjoying the fruits of their hard work,” MAFSE said.

The Ministry of Agriculture posted a short video showing students assisted by their teachers reaping the corn cobs, cleaning them, boiling them, and eating them.
