Belize Weather: Temperatures heat up inland

By Breaking Belize News Staff: It will be another sunny and hot day according to the National Meteorological Service with light winds and mostly dry conditions. Showers and thunderstorms will be isolated and limited mainly to inland and northern areas this afternoon and tonight.

High temperatures peak at 90 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 101 degrees in inland areas and 86 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 81 degrees along the coast, 74 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills. A heat alert remains in effect for inland areas.

Winds are easterly to southeasterly at five to 15 knots and seas will be slight to light chop.

Tides will be high at 1:57 this afternoon, then low at 9:21 this evening. The sun sets at 6:26 this evening and rises at 5:17 Saturday morning.

Similar weather conditions are forecast and expected through Saturday night.
