By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Infrastructure Development is satisfied with work on newly paved section of Crooked Tree Road in the Belize District.

“You know what you’re looking at here? It’s called history being made. This is the Crooked Tree Road, where today our dedicated team completed the paving of 1100 meters of road,” the MIDH said on Thursday.

“The best part? It’s only the beginning of a project which will see 3.7 kilometers paved. If you’ve paid any attention to the cries of Crooked Tree residents over the past decades, you’ll understand just how meaningful the work being done is.’”

However, on Friday morning the MIDH said someone had deliberately damaged a spot on the road.

“Sometime during the night, somebody deliberately and maliciously damaged the freshly paved section of the Crooked Tree Road. This hurts! And that’s all we’re going to say about that,” the MIDH said.
