By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Mexico and the United States won in the second week of the Kevin Bernard Orange Walk Mundialito at the Louisiana Football Field on Sunday. The two other games finished in deadlocks.
In Game 1, Mexico from Chan Pine Ridge Village ran over England from Black Water 4-1. Baltasar Vanegas scored a hat trick after the initial goal by Hildebrant Codd.
England’s only goal was converted by Elder Revolorio.
In the second game, Yo Creek’s Argentina played to a scoreless draw against San Estevan’s Japan.
Trinidad’s United States then tripled up, 3-1, over Chunox’s Brazil. Hadid Torres converted a brace for the US while Rodrigo Flores nailed the other. The victory was the United States’ second in the same number of weeks.
Brandon Cassanova recorded Brazil’s consolation goal.
Like the second match, the final game of the day between Orange Walk Central’s Germany and San Lazaro’s Croatia ended in a 0-0 draw.
Next Sunday starting at 1:00 pm, the USA match up against England, Germany take on Mexico, Japan clash with Colombia, and Brazil take on Argentina.
