Belize lose 10-0 to El Salvador in U16 Girls Central America Football Union (UNCAF) Championship in Guatemala

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Girls National Football Team (BGNT) did perform somewhat better on Tuesday but ended falling 10-0 against El Salvador in the U16 Girls Central America Football Union (UNCAF) Championship in Guatemala.

The BGNT trailed 4-0 at the half but ended conceding half-a-dozen more in the second half in their second Group B match at the Pinula Contreras Stadium in Guatemala City.

The team had fallen 16-0 to Costa Rica at the Pinula Contreras on Sunday, June 11. El Salvador started out with an 8-1 demolition of Honduras who play against Costa Rica today at 3:00 pm.

In Group A, Panama beat Cuba 6-3 in the first game today. Guatemala close against Nicaragua at 3:00 pm at the Centro de Alto Rendimiento (High Performance Center) in Guatemala City.

Belize’s third game will be on Thursday at 11:00 am against Honduras. On Saturday, the BGNT will play their final ranking game. They’ll play the Group B team that finishes in the same group rank to determine the final ranking.
