Love FM reporter allegedly caught breaking and entering vehicle on Barracks during rainstorm

By Aaron Humes: Reports to Breaking Belize News (BBN) are that a reporter for LOVE FM was allegedly caught up in a report of damage to a vehicle on Newtown Barracks earlier this morning.

During a heavy downpour around 4 a.m., the owner of a Lexus SUV was alerted that someone was trying to break into the vehicle. Looking through her window she saw someone in a white t-shirt and red boxer shorts breaking the vehicle’s passenger side windows and back glass with a grill he had found, apparently trying to get inside.

The man, who is alleged to be- Vejea Alvarez, responded when she told him to leave or she would call the police that she could go ahead as he wanted shelter because he was cold. He ultimately got inside through the broken back glass but police showed up and detained him.

The vehicle owner made a formal complaint but declined court action, asking only for compensation for damage to the vehicle. Alvarez has yet to comment.
