By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Tropical Storm Cindy has strengthened slightly as it continues to move west-northwest in the Caribbean.

As of this morning, Tropical Storm Cindy was located some 675 miles east of the Lesser Antilles.

Tropical Storm Cindy is forecast to remain well east and northeast of the northern Leeward Islands through early next week.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts.

Tropical storm Cindy is forecast to weaken as it moves into the Caribbean early next week.
