Republic of China (Taiwan) to welcome Minister of National Defense Florencio Marin Jr.

By Aaron Humes: The China News Agency (CNA) reports that according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Minister of National Defense and Border Security Florencio Marin Jr will be visiting starting on Monday.

Minister Marin will visit various locations in Taiwan, including the Ministry of Defense, the National Chung Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST), which is Taiwan’s top military research unit, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ocean Affairs Council, and local shipbuilding companies.

Other members of the six-member delegation include Christopher Coye, Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance, and Brigadier General (Retired) Dario Tapia, the chief executive officer of the Ministry.

Taiwan counts Belize among its oldest and longest-standing friends, with cooperative projects established between them since diplomatic ties were solidified in 1989.
