Recalling their last conversation, Chang shared, “When he received his 3-day pay tonight, I casually asked him how much he’d made. He said $175. I replied, ‘for only three days?’ Just imagine how much you’ll earn next week. He smiled and said, ‘Yes, boss.’ Those were his last words to me.”

The poignant message concluded with a solemn “Rest in Peace, Luis,” and expressed condolences to his family and friends.

This heartrending incident has left Belize City reeling, raising disquieting questions about what led to the tragic demise of a promising young man who had just started to carve his niche in the culinary world.
