Ministry of Religious Affairs shares condolences on passing of Reverend Canon Leroy Flowers

By Aaron Humes: The Government of Belize, through Minister of the Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform and Religious Affairs Henry Charles Usher has extended their condolences to the family, Bishop Phillip Wright, and the entire Anglican Church family on the death of Canon Leroy Flowers.

Per the official statement, “Canon Leroy Flowers has left an indelible mark on the lives of countless individuals. He guided his people with wisdom, compassion, and unwavering faith. His commitment to his beliefs and his dedication to service of others have been sources of strength to so many. He will be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to have known him personally or have been touched by his work.”

Canon Flowers served as parish priest at St. Mary’s Anglican Church on Angel Lane for 30 years and was also long associated with the school next door.

May the soul of Canon Flowers find eternal peace, and may his family and friends find strength and healing during this time of loss.
