By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Over the weekend, Sacred Heart College’s Class of 1973 reunited for a memorable occasion reminiscing their High school journey and their life’s successes and challenges.
In celebration of their 50th anniversary, the Class of 73 joined forces for a resolution to provide a yearly tuition scholarship to a student from Sacred Heart College.
The class of 33 graduates have become successful and productive members of their communities and country.
Among those is a Former Minister of Government and Area Representative whose educational journey in itself is an inspiration.
Besides consistently collaborating and contributing to the athletic and educational development of San Ignacio, Santa Elena and the surrounding villages, Daniel Silva Sr. is the owner of the majestic Cahal Pech Village Resort.
In addition, an instrumental Chief Executive Officer of the Government of Belize is also a 1973 graduate of Sacred Heart College.
The scholarship/ education fund will be awarded to assist students attending Sacred Heart College who are in need of financial assistance.
The class of 1973 says that this is their contribution to their community that developed progressive and positive Belizeans.
