Cuthbert Burrell, respected engineer, dies at 87

By Aaron Humes: Well-known engineer, Cuthbert Burrell, died at 87 years old Wednesday morning at his home in Belmopan.

Burrell designed the layouts of the former Ramada Hotel along Newtown Barracks (now known as the Ramada Princess Hotel), the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital on Princess Margaret Drive and various buildings in Belmopan.

Burrell has been described as leaving an “incalculable” legacy in the construction industry. May he rest in peace.
