Coastal Highway to be closed for all on Thursday for opening of Highway Upgrading Project

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Coastal Highway will be closed to the public on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the official opening of the Sixth Road (Coastal Highway Upgrading) Project.

The Coast Highway will be closed to everyone except for the residents of Mullins River and Gales Point, villages located off that road.

The Ministry of Infrastructure Development & Housing (MIDH) advises the public to use the Hummingbird Highway as an alternative route during this time.

At the same time, the MIDH thanks drivers for their cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
