San Pedro in deep mourning over the loss of Findley “Finn” Halliday

Posted: Wednesday, July 5, 2023. 1:10 pm CST.

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The San Pedro Dance Academy today conveyed heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Findley “Finn” Halliday, a cherished and memorable figure in the dance community.

Finn blazed a trail as the inaugural male dancer with the San Pedro Dance Company, breaking traditional norms and paving the way for future generations.

His passion for dance persisted into his early 20s, culminating in a golden opportunity to perform with the Belize National Dance Company. Under the prestigious directorship of Gregg Vernon, Finn showcased his talent on the European stage, enhancing the global visibility of Belize’s dance scene.

In their message of condolence, the San Pedro Dance Academy fondly noted, “Finn, we envision you dancing with the angels. Extend our warm regards to Ms. Rosita.”

Alongside the Academy, we at BBN express our heartfelt sympathies to Finn’s family and friends. We remember Finn as a dynamic dancer and beloved community figure whose legacy continues to inspire.
