By Aaron Humes: Kelvin Todd, 31, a security guard of Reggae Street, Belize City, is in the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) recovering from gunshot wounds sustained in a home invasion on Wednesday evening.
According to Police, Todd was at home around 4:15 in the afternoon when he heard someone knock on his front door. As he went to open it, he recognized a man holding a firearm and immediately began struggling with him.
As Todd fled he heard four loud bangs sounding like gunshots and realized he had been hit. A police mobile immediately rushed him to hospital where he is in stable condition with wounds to the left upper back and left wrist.
Police investigations are now underway.
