By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On July 6, 2023, Cayo North Area Representative, Michel Chebat and the Cayo North United Women’s Group held a graduation ceremony for the first co-hort of seamstresses under the sewing project.

The participants engaged in the sewing classes for 3 months and implemented their skills in creating blouses, dresses and even uniforms.

Minister Chebat sponsored the classes and was proud to see the beautiful products that the participants made.

“Women empowerment is a strong priority for our Area Representative as we continue delivering on Plan Belize,” the Cayo North Executive noted.
