Third man charged in Burrell Boom brawl

By Aaron Humes: 23-year-old Jamaal Stevens joins Adrian Myvette of Burrell Boom and Garrison Nicholson in allegedly being connected to the attempted murder by beating on Coast Guardsman Daniel Sabido on July 1.

Stevens was charged with attempted murder and use of deadly means of harm before Magistrate Brown and remanded until September 5 as the offences are indictable. Myvette is also charged with attempted murder and use of deadly means of harm while Nicholson has been charged with aggravated assault by machete on Belize City man Robert Tillett.

The incident took place during a basketball game in the village when Sabido was at a table where alcoholic beverages were being sold when a man known as “Bol” and later identified as Nicholson approached and began attacking Sabido, first with a machete, then a pint bottle, and also taking swings at Tillett with another machete.

According to Tillett, he and his other friends picked up Daniel Sabido who was injured in the attack and they carried him to the hospital.
