Belize Weather: Showers expected due to passing tropical wave

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts more showers developing due to a weak passing tropical wave.

Skies today will be sunny with cloudy intervals and partly cloudy to cloudy tonight. Showery activity will start along the coast this morning, move inland to central and northern areas this afternoon and mostly impact the south tonight.

High temperatures reach 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 93 degrees over inland areas and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 81 degrees along the coast, 74 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds will be easterly at 10 to 20 knots and sea conditions light chop to choppy; a small craft caution is in effect.

Tides will be low at 3:36 this afternoon and high at 9:50 this evening. The sun sets at 6:30 this evening and rises at 5:26 Sunday morning.

Weather will be generally fair on Sunday save for isolated showers and thunderstorm activity and elevated activity in the south.
