By Aaron Humes: Police suspect that an internal feud is behind the pre-dawn murder of 23-year-old Jasmine Domingo and injury to a four-year-old child reported this morning.
As explained by Assistant Commissioner of Police and officer commanding Eastern Division, Hilberto Romero, “Jasmine Domingo was along with her child at Plues Street, sleeping inside a room along with several other children and other [men] when a [man] came to the house and fired several shots through a wooden window that is situated at the side of the building.” The shooter arrived through surrounding yards and fled soon after he opened fire, evading police in the area.
He added that police have established that one of Jasmine’s brothers, not her, was the intended target and was present at the house. Police are looking for one person but believe the incident may be connected to at least one previous shooting incident involving one of the brothers, and suspects had been identified in that incident. Police investigations continue.
