By Aaron Humes: A Guatemalan woman 24-year-old Yesenia Recinos, in March of this year was busted in Belize City with a pipe and had initially pleaded not guilty; but today she changed her plea to guilty and was told she had served her time.

Recinos was not able to meet 500 dollars bail on the charge and was remanded until she re-appeared in court this morning.

Recinos was about to be provided with full disclosure in her case which was about to be set for trial when she decided to change her plea.

Presiding Magistrate Tehri-Ann Brown cut her a break and set her prison time at four months, matching the time on remanded, and a surprised Recinos was told she could go free.

Recinos admitted to having a two-inch silver and black metal pipe used to consume drugs.

Police found Recinos trying to dispose of the crack pipe on March 2, 2023 at a home on Mosul Street, Belize City.
