By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Guatemala closed off Tuesday’s games with a comfortable 3-1 win over El Salvador in the stellar game of the triple header on the third day of competition in the XIV U-19 Women’s Central American Volleyball Championship being played at the Belize City Civic Center.

Led by Camila Rodríguez with 13 points, Guatemala defeated the El Salvador side 25-17, 25-15, 24-26, 25-20.

Guatemala improved to a 1-1 record after faltering in their opening game while El Salvador dropped to 1-2

Earlier in the day, Costa Rica, the defending champions, had an easy time blanking Honduras 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-14) and Nicaragua did likewise with Panama winning 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-13).

Belize rested on Tuesday.
