Belize Weather: Drying out

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Skies will be sunny today with a few cloudy spells according to the National Meteorological Service. A few showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms will develop over Southern and central areas this morning, becoming isolated through the day. Skies will be partly cloudy tonight with only isolated showers or thunderstorms.

High temperatures peak at 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 94 degrees over inland areas and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight temperatures fall to 82 degrees along the coast, 74 degrees inland and 70 in the hills.

Winds are easterly at 10 to 20 knots and sea state choppy.

Tides will be high at 1:20 this afternoon and low at 8:05 this evening. The sun sets at 6:29 this evening and rises at 5:29 Monday morning.

Fair weather prevails on Monday with only isolated shower activity expected.
