By Breaking Belize News Staff: A flooding situation has emerged in the Stann Creek District’s San Roman Village. The images shared by our readers vividly portray the severity of the situation.
Water has alarmingly inundated yards and public spaces, with some residences experiencing water levels nearing their doorsteps. Nearby water bodies are overflowing, exacerbating the already dire scenario.
The countrywide rise in water levels follows an intense rainfall that Belize has endured over the past 24 hours.
Due to the severe weather, Rodwell Ferguson Sr., the Stann Creek West Area Representative, has postponed the Rodwell Ferguson Football Cup Marathon. The minister urged the spread of this message, with plans to kick off the competition next week if conditions improve.
We will continue to provide updates as the situation unfolds in San Roman and across Belize.
