Murder at Yarborough – Southside figure Steven Moss shot dead in broad daylight

By Aaron Humes: Police were called out to Queen Charlotte Street on Tuesday afternoon where they found notorious Southside figure Steven Moss near the Bismarck Club, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

Moss, 29, of Queen Charlotte Street, was in the area on bicycle from the direction of Fairweather Street towards Fabers Road, apparently heading home, when when a dark coloured Range Rover SUV approached him from the opposite direction and the passengers inside fired towards him, causing his fatal injuries. He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital but died before making it there.

Moss is a well-known street figure to police, having been charged with multiple murders in the past and tied to the Southside Gang.

Police have subsequently recovered an abandoned Range Rover SUV and impounded it as their investigations continue.
