Hearts for Kids U19 Basketball Camp: Top-tier coaches train Belize’s young talent

The event features an impressive lineup of basketball coaches, including Edniesha Curry, a former WNBA player and current Portland Trailblazers coach.

Also participating in the camp are Tom Bridges, a former assistant coach with the Philadelphia 76ers, Tom Hegre from Knight High School, and Belize’s own Aldo Manzanero. This powerhouse team aims to educate children and young players on the essentials of basketball while instilling the necessary character traits for success both on and off the court.

The Hearts for Kids initiative, funded by Pureguard Oil in partnership with Westrac, has already successfully held camp sessions in Belmopan and Dangriga. With the upcoming session in San Pedro, the initiative continues to expand its reach, offering top-tier training to young athletes across Belize. Additional support comes from local sports teams and businesses, including the San Pedro Tiger Sharks, Belmopan Trojans, and San Point Resorts.
