BREAKING: Shooting reported at gathering in Corozal Town

By Aaron Humes: Breaking Belize News (BBN) has received reports that there was a shooting in Corozal Town earlier tonight.

One man was shot and injured at a gathering at G Street South, Corozal Town, and is now at the Corozal Community Hospital.

According to witnesses, the man came under fire from a shooter who was allegedly “laywaiting” another individual in a dark alleyway near the scene.

The shooter escaped and the victim was rushed by ambulance to hospital.

Police investigations are underway.
