Call Center agent charged for 217 grams of weed, intent to supply

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Robert Sydney Thurton, 45, a call center agent, was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate Court on Wednesday on a charge of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply.

Thurton appeared unrepresented in court #4 where he was read a single charge for 217 grams of marijuana which was allegedly found in his possession.

Thurton initially requested advice from his attorney, who was not present in court and eventually pleaded not guilty to the charge.

There was no objection to bail being granted to Thurton and bail was set in the sum of 1,500 which he met late Wedensday evening. His next court date is set for September 18, 2023.
