By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize City has been buzzing with international sporting activity lately with the U19 Central American Women’s Volleyball championship held here last week, the FIBA U17 Boys CentroBasket Championship being held now, and the Central American Men’s Volleyball Championship to be hosted from August 6-12.

But that’s not all. Belize City is also preparing to welcome the CODICADER GAMES 2023, the Central American students’ games, in basketball and table tennis from August 1-7 in Belize City and the National Sports Council of Belize invites you to attend this remarkable event.

“Join us for an unforgettable week of sportsmanship, talent, and unity as we host young athletes from Central America,” the NSC said in a social media post.

“Mark your calendars and let’s make history together on our home turf! Excitement is building! The CODICADER GAMES 2023 in Belize is here!”

Central American countries will be represented in the Intermediate Bracket (13–14-year-olds) in both disciplines.

The basketball competition will be held at the St Catherine Academy gymnasium and table tennis will be hosted at the Swift Hall. Both venues are in Belize City.
