Ministry of Agriculture holds sheep and goat production and management workshop for Toledo farmers

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise conducted a sheep and goat production and management workshop for 35 Toledo farmers on Wednesday. The workshop looked at culinary practices of lamb and mutton along the value chain.

The Toledo Agriculture Department hosted the workshop which was facilitated by the Central Farm Livestock unit and Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF).

The training included both theoretical and practical sessions on traceability, nutrition, health, silage preparation and femacha demonstration. These sessions helped the farmers to learn the best practices for raising these animals effectively, giving them a solid foundation of knowledge and hands-on experience. The workshop also aimed to improve the farmers’ productivity and economic prospects.
