Belize City man found with too much marijuana

Under Belizean law possession of more than ten grams or less than half an ounce remains illegal, and a Belize City man was caught with more than twice that amount that he was trying to get rid of on Thursday on Antelope Street Extension.

Raheem Daniel Jones, 25, a resident of Antelope Street Extension, pleaded guilty to possession of controlled drugs to wit 26.6 grams or 0.93 ounces of cannabis.

For his guilty plea, Jones was fined $250 and cost of court fine due by September 29, in default 2 months imprisonment.

Police arrested Jones after he tried to outrun them on bicycle and was seen throwing away the bag of weed.
