Ministry of Education and Ariel Rosado Foundation join efforts to provide scholarships to Belizean students

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez:  Earlier this year, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology signed an agreement with the Ariel Rosado Foundation to provide 7 scholarships for Belizean students.

Today, Minister of Education Francis Fonseca participated in the 2023 Ariel Rosado Scholarship Award Ceremony.

During the ceremony, recipients were awarded the scholarships provided by the Ministry.

In his remarks to the awardees, Minister Fonseca encouraged them to make the best of the opportunity being provided to them and to remember and cherish the people who supported them.

He also reminded the awardees to carry themselves with humility and to always treat others with respect. He asserted that with these virtues, many more opportunities will come their way.

Since 2012, the Ariel Rosado Foundation has consistently raised and managed funds to provide scholarships and sporting opportunities for deserving Belizean youths.

“We at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology are proud to support the work of this foundation,” the Ministry said.
