By Aaron Humes: The Men’s National Volleyball Team overcame a rough start to defeat Costa Rica, 12-25, 25-15, 25-19, 25-18 in tonight’s match at the Civic Center.
A slow, plodding effort put the opponents in charge even after an early injury, but in the second set big hitter Karym Coleman put the team on his back and they responded with a much more efficient and entertaining display.
Belize started the day fourth and the gold medal is estimated to be out of reach after Guatemala’s win last night, but a minimum of bronze is still on the line entering the last night of the tournament against Nicaragua.
