Child rescued from burning house in St Martin’s area

By Aaron Humes: Firefighters this morning battled a house fire on Aloe Vera Street.

According to Police, at 11:50 a.m. on Saturday based on information received of a house fire on Aloe Vera Street they responded and observed a white concrete bungalow house engulfed in flames.

No one was injured at the time, however a female minor occupant of the house had respiratory problems. She was escorted to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for medical attention. CIB personnel and National Fire Service are currently on the scene.

How the fire started and its cause is also being investigated.
