By Aaron Humes: It’s not long before school calls back in for most of our youngest, but the summer isn’t quite over yet.
The Museum of Belize Summer Arts Program 2023 is closing the summer with highlights of Belizean Kriol culture and Natural Science. Both programs will end with a field trip: one to a historic maroon village to experience traditional Kriol culture and the other to a butterfly farm in San Ignacio, Cayo, where its participants will identify various insects of Belize.
The Instrument Making/Kriol Music and Storytelling program is free while the Intro to Entomology/Art and Wooden Crafts course is only $10 to register. Within both programs, participants will be provided with snacks and refreshments daily.
Call 223-4524 or email [email protected] to register your child while spaces are still available. The Museum of Belize opens weekly from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily.
