San Pedranos can name a street in La Isla Bonita

By Celeste Chang: The San Pedro Town Council has announced an initiative to name the unnamed streets on the island to assist in proper identification of streets.

It is also a great way to interact with residents of the island, because when people are included in significant things such as this they feel important and will emjoy a greater sense of community.

Signs should be two feet wide by two feet long, made from wood or aluminum, carry a tropical/aquatic theme and not include existing street names (such as Barrier Reef Drive, Caribena Street, Angel Coral Street, Pescador Drive or Coconut Drive to name a few).

The island has also been undergoing other renovations as the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing has been fixing streets to accommodate residential areas.
