Government Minister accused of sexual harassment and cyber crime by female attorney; accuses her of blackmail, extortion and cyberbullying

By Aaron Humes: Breaking Belize News has seen salacious and incriminating communication between a female attorney and a Minister of Government that involves alleged harassment and threats and at least one explicit photograph.

We gather that this matter has been ongoing for some time and that leaders at the top echelons are aware of what has allegedly happened.

There are reports in other media that the accused Minister is in turn accusing the attorney of blackmail amid claims that their relationship was consensual, and saying that a complaint will be submitted to the General Legal Council to look into the attorney’s conduct, and a report made to police for extortion and cyberbullying.

The attorney meanwhile says she had to leave the country momentarily in fear for her life after the Minister’s threats, and that is when she contacted that Minister’s Party Leader.

The Opposition’s newspaper The Guardian first reported on allegations reaching it of inappropriate behaviour among Ministers of Government some months ago but gained no traction.
