Ministry of Agriculture facilitates Soursop Management and Grafting training for farmers in Gales Point

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, farmers in Gales Point participated in a training session on Soursop Management and Grafting.

The training was facilitated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise.

The purpose of the training is to enhance the knowledge and expertise of local farmers, ultimately improving their agricultural practices while achieving higher crop yields and better-quality produce.

The training was conducted at Densfield Bowen’s farm as it provided a hands-on experience to participants on the techniques applied.

Facilitating the training was Barry Palacio, John Sanches, and Marvin Blades from the Agriculture Department.

The Ministry of Agriculture’s involvement in providing ongoing resources and assistance demonstrates a commitment to the growth and development of the agricultural sector.

“By fostering agricultural development, the ministry is not only contributing to the improvement of farmers’ livelihoods but also addressing the crucial issue of food security in local communities,” the Ministry noted.
