65-year-old man is accused of assaulting 19-year-old woman

By Aaron Humes: A senior citizen Belizean-American who is being accused of committing a sexual assault upon a 19-year-old teenager is out on bail as he has pleaded not guilty.

65-year-old Wayne Edward Jones was read a single charge of sexual assault. Allegations are that on Sunday, August 13, he intentionally grabbed the left leg of a female 19-year-old without her consent.

Jones pleaded not guilty and was offered bail in the sum of $2,000 plus one surety of the same amount which he met on Friday after spending Thursday night at the Central Prison.

Jones’ next court date is set for September 28.
